Invitation to Lunch

According to Incan cosmology, the world is divided into three parts: the underground world where the souls of not yet born people stay; the terrestrial world, and the heavenly world. Their symbols were, accordingly, a snake, a puma and a condor. The same images symbolized the ascension of the human spirit—first, it crawls along the ground, like a snake, then acquires strength and freedom of movement on the earth, comprehending the surrounding material world, like a puma. And, finally, the spirit of man comprehends its own internal world, thus acquiring wings and, like a condor, penetrating distant worlds.
